Assistant Investment Analyst - Reporting

About the role

This Assistant Investment Analyst role will play a key part in supporting our reporting team with data management, investment performance analysis and interpretation through to client reporting.

This full-time position is based in either Jersey or Guernsey and offers a fantastic opportunity to develop strong analytical skills, gain insights into financial markets and work directly with investment professionals. You will help ensure accurate data reporting, contribute to investment performance reviews and provide valuable insights that support client portfolio assessments.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Data Collection & Management – Collate all relevant portfolio data from various sources including investment managers and data vendors.
  • Data Verification & Quality Control – Identify and investigate data discrepancies, ensuring integrity within ARC systems.
  • Portfolio Performance Reporting – Assist in preparing scheduled Performance Analysis Reports (ensuring accurate and timely delivery), interpretation of results and attendance at the client meetings where a suitably qualified analyst will present the findings.
  • Client & Manager Interactions – Support day-to-day client and investment manager queries, under supervision.
  • Compliance & Due Diligence – Assist in monitoring client transactions in line with anti-money laundering (AML) regulations and compliance standards.
  • Team Collaboration & Learning – Work closely with various investment analysts to develop expertise in investment reporting, financial analysis and compliance procedures.

 

What we’re looking for

  • Ability to demonstrate a positive ‘can-do’ attitude.
  • Ability to demonstrate attention to detail, a skill that allows you to input data with thoroughness, accuracy and consistency.
  • Clear communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collate and investigate data queries concisely.
  • Well-organised and capable of handling multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Display a keen interest in financial markets, and to work towards an entry level investment qualification. CISI Level 3 International Introduction to Investment or International Certificate in Wealth and Investment Management.
  • No prior experience in financial markets is required, but enthusiasm for investment analysis and data management is essential.
  • Candidates must already be living in Jersey or Guernsey and have the right to work in one of these jurisdictions.
