The Private Client Indices (PCI) as compiled by Asset Risk Consultants provide a unique insight into the actual returns being generated by investment managers for their UK discretionary private client portfolios. The four PCI performance series are based on real performance numbers provided by participating investment managers.

PCI provide an accurate reflection of the actual returns that a private client should expect for a given risk appetite. This approach leaves investment managers free to use any and all investment strategies, vehicles and structures in the pursuit of the maximum return per unit of realised volatility.

Categories
There are four PCI indices based on the risk-profile relative to equity markets: Cautious, Balanced Asset, Steady Growth and Equity Risk. PCI indices are available in three currencies: Sterling, US Dollar and Euro.

There are no pre-set asset allocations, no asset class restrictions, no concentration limits, no index performances used and only actual performance numbers are included in the composition of the indicators.

Subscriber Services
The target subscriber base is trustees, private client lawyers, accountants and advisers dealing with high net worth individuals. Subscribers can access a quarterly report setting out performance statistics and contact details for all contributors.

Contributors
All contributors receive a personalised PCI Report setting out the results from the survey and their position within each risk category. Exclusively available to data contributors, the reports cover performance relative to peer group, technical performance statistics and analysis of identifiable trends in each category.
