Peter M Langford FCCA ATII ACA

Following an engineering degree from Cambridge University and an MBA at the University of North Carolina, Peter worked in international banking in the US and London. He and his family moved to Guernsey, his wife's home, in 1978. There Peter switched to accountancy and, after a couple of years, joined Coopers & Lybrand, specialising in tax and trust work. After twelve years with the firm, six as a partner, he retired in 1992. Retirement gave him time to investigate a question he had faced as a trustee - how do you measure an investment manager's performance? His approach provided a starting point for the ARC methodology when the company was set up in 1996. Since then he has been intimately involved in translating ideas into practice.
